Job Summary

Responsible for the management of the lease portfolio of CEMEX USA. Primary activities include supervision of lease operations, bank operational relationships for leases, yearly lease budget coordination with Planning, owner of US lease data in Visual Lease, all lease reporting, and PACS audit coordination.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise the lease process for CEMEX USA to include proper disbursements of payments, correct accounting of leases under IFRS 16, and month end closing.
  • Advise operations on proper accounting of lease transactions.
  • Review proposed leases as part of the approval process in coordination with Planning.
  • Coordinate with Planning the proper budgeting of lease obligations.
  • Provide timely analysis on lease activities as requested by the Treasurer.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of lease operations.
  • Coach and mentor one direct report.
  • Support all Treasury audits including PACS, KPMG and Internal Control by maintaining proper documentation and ensuring adherence to all relevant controls for the lease process.
  • Support Treasurer with management of lessor relationships by ensuring all contractual obligations are being addressed, and by negotiating lease credit lines required to support financing needs.

Qualifications

  • 100% English (Spoken and Written). Preferred Spanish and English, but not mandatory. 
  • Bachelor’s degree (required) and MBA (strongly preferred), related to Finance or Accounting.
  • Finance and Accounting (5 years of experience) 
     

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Technical Skills: MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access), MS SharePoint / Forms, SAP, Visual Lease (preferred)
  • Soft Skills: extremely organized, management, analytical skills, understanding of financial concepts, excellent verbal and written communications, results driven with ability to work independently, ability to work under pressure with short response times, strong team working skills. 
     

Working Conditions

  • Capable to work extended hours as needed
  • Capable of working in an open concept office environment
     

Physical Requirements

Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree

Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors
