Job Description

To develop and communicate the Cemex Global HR Data Model. This includes defining the data structure, data fields, and definitions, as well as establishing guidelines for data access, governance, and controls to ensure data integrity and compliance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop & communicate Cemex Global HR Data Mode
    • Data structure, data fields and definitions
  • Develop & communicate Data Access guideline
    • Governance and controls to ensure data integrity and compliance
  • Engage with Global P&IT team to set up a streamlined Data Systems Architecture (E2E: from data collection to accesses for data consumption)
    • Official HR data repository setup connected with multi-source databases of people & organizational data
    • Official data sources for each global data field
    • Space for HR Analytics teams to consume data
  • Develop & Manage Global Data repositories (e.g. Headcount, Organization, Integrated Annual Report)
    • Use business intelligence tools to explore and organize data
    • Process and controls for data access
    • Help stakeholders navigate through HR Data
    • Help HR Analytics teams delve into People Analytics
  • Manage Global HR Data Quality
  • Provide accurate and timely HR Data for different global & regional stakeholders
  • Activate HR Governance Model
  • Translating Business Needs: Understanding and translating business needs into functional requirements, analyzing data sources, executing Fit-Gap Analysis, supporting the design of data domains and business rules for semantic layers, and certifying mapping of data sources and fields.

Position Challenges

  • Logical complexity and knowledge of data fields and data bases.
  • Understand how the data relates to the HR necessities and the effects that any future process changes will have on the use of data in the organization.
  • Create a common understanding around institutional data models, source systems & governance model.

Qualifications

  • Languages needed & proficiency:
    • Spanish and English: Advanced proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively in a business environment.
  • Academic Background: A bachelor’s degree in fields such as Computer Systems, Digital Transformation, or Engineering. A master’s is preferred but not essential.
  • Areas of Expertise: 3-5 years in HR data management, data analysis, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data management and analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI (DAX & Power Query), SQL, API, Cloud Powered Architecture, Succes Factors and SAP.
  • Knowledge of big data platforms and Cloud Services.
  • Soft Skills: Strong management skills. The ability to engage with various stakeholders and communicate complex data concepts in a clear manner.
