Job Description

Center of Digital Initiatives (CODi) cement process data analyst whose main purpose is to detect challenges, operational modes, develop digital tools and best practices replication in CEMEX Cement Plants aiming to improve performance and create value in the operations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Case building orientation: After trends and chart analysis, prioritize cases for process improvement in cement plants
  • Solution building initiatives: Contact plants, process & energy regional departments for problem exposure and solution path discussion.
  • Cemex data compilation tools knowledge and usage (PI Vision, SEEQ, DOR, RAS, etc.)
  • Solution tracking and feedback supporting regional departments
  • Main plant’s KPIs acknowledgement

Position Challenges

  • Effective communication throughout CEMEX with different cultures
  • Know-how about cement production
  • Relevant data management for solution building support, using several tools for data gathering and interpretation.

Qualifications

  • English & Spanish advanced professional proficiency
  • Engineering bachelor’s degree
  • Problem solving, decision making and analytical thinking skills
  • Committed, with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Great with Excel, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Power BI, R, Mini Tab, Python, Tableau, Visual Basic

Internal: 

  • Managers, coordinators and CCR operators within cement plants from all regions.
  • Cemex Technology Department
  • Plant management crew and operation support regional departments

 

External: 

  • 3rd party solution vendors for process optimization
