Job Description

The IT SCA&C Telecommunications and Security Supervisor oversees all aspects of the unified communication systems, teleconference, communication policies, vendor management, maintenance, and troubleshooting.  Additionally, this role oversees the compliance of legal cybersecurity and audit controls.


Main Responsibilities

This role is primarily responsible for the immediate and future telecommunications needs of the region as well as to guarantee information security compliance aligned with the business requirements and local laws.  Specifically, the Regional Telecoms & Security Supervisor is expected to:


  • Identify improvements on current telecommunication services related to the current vendors, both from service and financial perspectives.
  • Ensures the collaboration between carriers and outsourcing providers. Monitors the contractual SLA attainment of all telecommunication services.  Tracks, measures, reports, and evaluates current telecommunications services and performance.
  • Collaborates with the Enterprise Information Security Management team to guarantee cybersecurity controls.
  • Collaborates with Internal Control/Process Assessment and Legal departments to ensure compliance with country-specific cybersecurity laws.


Position Challenges

  • Large user base with very few resources.
  • High-level telecommunications technology and infrastructure obsolescence. 
  • Working with mixed legacy and digital platforms.
  • Broad regional scope and regional telecom carrier relationship to control.
  • Support the implementation of standardized policies and procedures within SCA&C without conflicting with local laws.
  • Deal with strict cybersecurity and audit requirements for SCA&C



  • 3-5 years of enterprise network and unified communications architecture and support experience.
  • Knowledgeable and well-versed with ISO 27001, COBIT, and FAIR methodologies.
  • Experience in ITIL and Continuous Improvement methodologies. 
  • College degree (in IT, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Telecoms/Electrical/Industrial Engineering).
  • Well-versed with PC support and operating systems, networking, servers, databases, virtualization, Citrix, VMWare, telecommunications, Office 365, Power BI, and process automations.
  • Knowledge of end-point security, firewalls, network access control, Intrusion Protection System, patching, Identity and Access Management, GRC (Governance, Risk, & Compliance)
  • In-depth knowledge of unified communications technologies particularly MS Teams, IP Telephony, SIP, SBCs, and PBXs.
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English).

  • Legal Compliance Outsourcers - collaborate on legal data-holds, information retention and destruction control.
