ABOUT THE JOB
We’re looking for an Information Administrator responsible for the accurate execution, administration, and governance of operational data and systems that enable efficient plant operations, compliance, and performance tracking across Cemex USA.
This role owns transactional execution, system accuracy, and data integrity at the source, ensuring that operational processes run effectively. The position serves as a key link between plant operations, supply chain, finance, and corporate functions.
The role requires strong attention to detail, system proficiency (e.g., SAP), cross-functional coordination, and a commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
Job Responsibilities
WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO
As an Information Administrator at Cemex, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Operational & System Administration: Execute and manage transactional activities in SAP and related systems, including inventory movements, master data updates, fixed assets, leases, and user access. Provide day-to-day operational and system support across terminals, freight, and plant operations.
- Data Management & Control: Maintain accurate operational data (production, inventory, energy, materials) and ensure timely updates. Monitor inventory balances, adjustments, and variances, and support physical counts and reconciliations.
- Data Quality & Reporting: Ensure data accuracy and integrity across systems, resolve discrepancies, and generate standard operational reports to support performance tracking and decision-making.
- Compliance & Audits: Support audits (e.g., PACS), internal controls, and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and data governance standards.
- Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders; participate in month-end processes, CAPEX tracking, and provide operational input to financial activities.
- Training & Continuous Improvement: Provide system and process training to plant personnel and drive improvements in workflows, data accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Decision Support & Accountability: Manage data requests and deadlines, ensure system integrity, and recommend corrective actions to support operational and financial performance.

To succeed in this role, you should bring:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field and 1 – 3 years of experience in manufacturing environments, heavy industry or plant operations.
- Communication: Clear, concise written and verbal communication with new hires and internal stakeholders.
- Team Orientation: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy, data integrity, and compliance in managing operational information and processes Organization: Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Communication: Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with operations, finance, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and PC-based applications, Experience working with databases, operational reporting systems, and HRIS platforms (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors preferred) and Familiarity with production, inventory, and consumption data in an industrial environment.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to interpret data and identify discrepancies.
- Process & Continuous Improvement: Process-oriented mindset with a focus on efficiency, standardization, and continuous improvement
- Professional Attributes: High level of integrity, discretion, accountability, and reliability.
Working Conditions
- Environment: Primarily in an office setting with occasional exposure to other operational areas.
- Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds when needed.
- Safety First: Wearing protective equipment and adhering to safety protocols is a must.
- Dynamic Environment: You’ll work in diverse environments, including exposure to varying conditions such as outdoor industrial operations settings.
