Job Description

Development, test and optimization of chemical formulations to enhance performance of cement, concrete and cement based materials.

Main Responsibilities

• Analyzing material properties
• Conducting laboratory experiments (cement and concrete technology
• Formulation of chemical additives for cement processing additives and concrete admixtures
• Collaboration with internal and external customers in cement and concrete area
• Market intelligence and IP studies

Position Challenges

• Rapid problem solving for field issues under time pressure from production and customers
• Innovation pressure to develop suitable, low carbon, and high performance solutions
• Scaling from lab to production while maintaining quality and cost efficiency
• Balancing multiple performance parameters by using innovative analytic and test methods and equipment
• Cross-functional coordination with production, QC, sales and technical teams 

Qualifications

• English B2, Spanish B2
• Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in chemistry, material sience, chemical engineering, civil engineering, or related field
• Strong understanding of cement chemistry, concrete technology and admixtures mechanism
• Experience with concrete and cement testing methods and analytical techniques
• Ability to design experiments, analyze data, and optimize formulations

• Ability to prepare reports and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Ability to manage multiple R&D projects and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and standard office software
