Job Summary

The HR Coordinator will support the HR Business Partner with day-to-day HR tasks including but not limited to posting positions, pre-screening applicants, on-boarding new hires, maintaining employee files, and coordinating engagement events.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the recruiting process in Success Factors including create job requisitions, gather proper approvals, review incoming resumes, pre-screen candidates, and schedule interviews.
  • Schedule drug screens through e-screen.
  • Conduct Onboarding for new employees, as needed.
  • Process background checks and communicate results immediately to HR Business Partner.
  • Manage and maintain all exempt, non-exempt and hourly employee files; both “Active” and “Inactive” employees
  • Coordinate and participate in special events such as Annual Health Fair, Annual Meeting, Employee Recognition Banquets and Employee Engagement Activities for Florida Region and Regional Office.
  • Ordering gifts and prizes for annual events for the region.
  • Act as primary liaison for all local employees assigned a LeasePlan Vehicle (i.e. request fuel pins, maintenance booklets, coordinate disposals, and e-plan access).
  • Collect Organizational Charts for the Florida Region.
  • Manage and reconcile monthly ProCard expenses using Concur.
  • Run Ad-Hoc reports, as needed
  • Support HR VP on a coordinated basis.
  • Act as back-up support for Front Desk Reception during lunch and as needed.
  • Comply with company safety rules and regulations and wear proper safety PPE when visiting plants.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.


  • 1-2 years of HR experience in a construction setting or similar field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong Social/Interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a cohesive team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.       
  • Able to handle sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Able to work under pressure, meet weekly deadlines and be familiar with construction administration procedures and requirements.

  • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking
  • Able to lift approximately 50lbs
  • Willingness to travel as needed
