Job Summary

RISK ANALYST

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day administration of corporate and related insurance & surety programs.
  • Assist with insurance policy management and renewals. 
  • Manage the collection of exposure data for the renewal process.
  • Manage insurance certificate database. 
  • Assist with surety program renewals.
  • Receive requests for surety bonds and execute bonds to operations.
  • Manage surety portfolio and review for completed obligations.
  • Assist with collateral management and requirements.
  • Execute monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Manage and maintain organization hierarchy in database for claims administration and reporting.
  • Responsible for the administration of the database (RMIS) and claims reporting.
  • Assist with monitoring loss prevention initiatives.
  • Review 3rd party contracts.
  • Review 3rd party certificates for compliance.
  • Manage issuance of customer certificates.
  • Reconcile and submit invoices.
  • Maintain department file system.
  • Assist with due diligence pertaining to M&A activity.
  • Interact with various internal operations and departments, insurance brokers, underwriters, third party administrators and business protection service providers.
  • Assist with special projects and requests, as needed.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years treasury or insurance experience
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required
  • Must be able to travel and work well in a team environment
  • Some form of certification desired: ARM, CRM, CPCU and/or insurance solicitor’s license
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, statistics, economics, accounting, or related field (MBA preferred but not required)
  • Experience with risk/insurance analysis

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Problem-solving and research-orientated skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multi-tasking
  • Ability to maintain and handle confidential information
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, Database Programs, Risk Connect, GB RisxFacs and TPA systems)
  • Understanding of statistics and accounting
  • Highly motivated, results orientated, self-starter

Working Conditions

Capable of working in an open concept office environment

Physical Requirements

Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors
