Job Summary
As an Analyst, support the implementation and management of Cemex’s Third Party Bulk Truck Management Strategy as well as the Rail Fleet Management Strategy.
Focus on analyzing transportation operations, developing tools, and generating reports to improve performance, and foster collaboration. Develop scenarios and simulations to support decision-making aligned with Cemex’s strategic goals for growth, cost efficiency, customer experience, and risk minimization. Support Cemex’s Corporate Sustainability and Risk Management initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct ad hoc and exploratory data analysis for both truck and rail modes of transportation.
- Perform financial analysis and reporting for budgeting, investments, and strategy implementation.
- Contribute to the development of transportation strategies and new company initiatives.
- Support the development of complex mathematical and financial models using data.
- Contribute to the support, implementation, and continuous improvement of transportation systems, adhering to Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Create new processes to automate clerical tasks, reduce waste, and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align strategies and improve transportation service quality.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manage the framework for corporate transportation processes.
Qualifications
- 2 or more years of experience in Transportation and or Supply Chain related roles
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or Management
- Supply Chain processes
- Ability to manage data and develop concepts and information. (strong mathematical and analytical skills)
- Knowledge in SAP, TMS and Analytical tools preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- General Supply Chain processes
- Excellent communicator and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage data and develop concepts and information. (strong analytical skills)
- SAP, Transportation Management Systems, Analytical tools (i.e. PowerBI, DAX, Tableau, Excel, SQL)
Working Conditions
- Capable of working in an office environment
- Capable of working extended hours as needed
- Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time
Physical Requirements
- Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
- Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment
