Job Summary
The Cement Small Business Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple accounts across the US. These accounts are designated as small business due to purchasing 15K tons or less a year. This role interacts with the regional commercial cement teams, and multiple departments to ensure the small business customers receive superior customer service (i.e Credit, Sales Admin, Customer Care, Logistics, etc…). The purpose of this role is to develop relationships with prospective small business accounts as well as strengthen our relationships with our current small business portfolio. The role is tasked to increase revenue and reach targets set by management.
Job Responsibilities
- Increase revenue by reaching 100k tns of target
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with small business customers and prospects
- Maintaining and expanding the database (Portfolio) of current and potential customers
- Providing an accurate volume forecast monthly
- Assist Credit Department with collection efforts.
- Daily prospecting of potential market leads, cross-selling opportunities, up-selling opportunities, and sustainability efforts within CEMEX
- Market Admixtures to small business customers.
- Promote CEMEX’s digital platform and onboard customers to CEMEX GO
- Coordinate with logistics department to provide delivered service to customers.
- Providing quotes, pricing updates, material changes, and logistical support with the customer
- Meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales goals through strategic planning and regional initiative.
- Coordinating with customer service for status on orders from related plant departments in ensuring the delivery commitment to clients is met (SLA)
- Developing and accomplishing a region lead generation plan, meeting or exceeding weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual targets
- Coordinate with Logistics & Customer Service for to bridge the gap with sales, and identify areas of opportunity on future customer prospects, potential jobs, and current projects.
- Define, scope, and deploy tailored digital marketing for the potential markets
- Identify opportunities to deliver product from a plant vs terminal .
- Optimize cost to serve (Supply chain, logistics, order fulfillment)
- Generate high premiums from this segment to capitalize on profit based on regional directive
- Communication with Regional Leadership and sales management weekly, monthly, and Quarterly
- Elevated focus on delivering Superior Customer Experience and Sustainability within Cemex while optimizing the Omni-Channel Experience
- Providing customer intelligence data to the Commercial Strategy team on an annual basis.
- Participating/ Leading training sessions, meetings, skill building and professional development classes
- Be creative in the generation of leads
Qualifications
- Possess a basic understanding of technology including Access, Excel, Word and Windows, Command data
- 3 years related sales experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent sales experience
- 4+ years’ experience in General Sales, Inside Sales or Outside Sales required
- Experience building successful customer relationships and maximizing profit
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excel and SAP knowledge preferred.
- Able to multi-task the activities with shifting priorities
- Highly energetic and self-starter
- Focus oriented individual
- Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and respect for diversity

- Experience with CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred)
- Strong presence with excellent communication skills, written and oral.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
- Equipment Used/Software Needed.
- Experience with MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Working Conditions
- Ability to work in open concept office environment
- Some travel is required for Commercial meetings, trainings, and market visits.
- Use of company telecommunications system and Mobile device is required to maximize customer prospecting opportunities and market conversations.

- Walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
- Heavy Work: Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to to move objects
