Job Summary

The Human Resources Development Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and continuously improving CEMEX's University strategies. The Human Resources Development Manager is responsible for providing organizational development solutions to stakeholders aligned to business strategies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive CEMEX University strategies, client-focused interventions and metrics to enable our people to deliver improved business results
  • Work with CEMEX University stakeholders to identify and assess systematic development gaps as well as future needs on development program
  • Ensure learning content consistency and delivery across nationwide development programs: H&S Academy, Commercial Academy, Supply Chain Academy, Operational Excellence Academy, and Leadership Academy
  • Lead CEMEX University steering committee sessions to design and implement comprehensive development programs and learning strategies
  • Provide strong collaboration and coordination between OHR Corporate University and local stakeholders
  • Manage integration and execution for leadership development programs aligned to our organizational goals
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices and technological advancements
  • Work with multiple external vendors to define development solutions for CEMEX
  • Lead and manage focus groups/working sessions to review development programs effectiveness and design
  • Conduct learning sessions, including technical aspects of business
  • Establish relationships and build networks with universities to provide educational opportunities to CEMEX's employees
  • Assist with participant selection efforts for development programs and manage communications with participants
  • Understand all lines of business (ready mix, cement, aggregates, concrete pipe, & other building materials) - Understand business processes and operations in a manufacturing environment
  • Manage a budget (including developing proposals, tracking expenses)
  • Generate reports and evaluate data and metrics
  • Create, design, develop and implement learning content - Adhere to all CEMEX, OSHA and MSHA rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
  • Meet or exceed company safety standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
  • 5 years experience managing development programs, locally and remotely

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong project management, strategic analysis and planning skills
  • Experience with data mining and talent management processes
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Team player, able take a leadership role in dealing effectively with various internal and external teams/departments
  • Strong presentation and training skills and must be able to speak publically and in front of large groups
  • Proven ability to work closely with Senior Executives, management and employees within an organization
  • Confidentiality a must
  • Understanding of operations in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to work independently, meet multiple deadlines, and manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized, analytical and detailed-oriented.
  • Ability to track, measure and analyze data/results and key metrics
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and planning skills
  • Understanding of operational processes and systems
  • Experience designing and developing learning content Working conditions: - Capability to work extended hours as necessary - Ability to work with standard office/computer Equipment - Capable of working in an open office environment - Travel required with overnight stays (up to 25% per year)
