Job Summary

The Learning Architect is responsible for designing and developing learning solutions for CEMEX that enable our people knowledge and skills to perform their essential job functions. This position will also oversee the implementation of digital and other learning delivery methods for the content of CEMEX’s training programs. 

Job Responsibilities

CEMEX systems and tools

  • Oversee the planning and execution of CEMEX’s training programs across company by driving efforts to digitalize learning content for CEMEX’s systems and tools: SAP, Command, APEX, Loadmaster, SuccessFactors, KRONOS Dimensions, Concur, among others. 
  • Identify learning and development needs by consulting with stakeholders and using needs assessments
  • Evaluate the performance through metrics of learning programs to ensure training is meeting business needs and improving results
  • Establish relationships, build network, and partner with key stakeholders (tool owners, P&IT, trainers, HR and management teams) to support the roll out of new developments, manage systems learning roadmap
  • Work closely and in alignment with CEMEX University team to implement learning programs

Change Management

  • Lead change management and learning solutions that enable learners to use CEMEX University programs
  • Assess learning programs’ implementations and propose plans to close gaps when needed
  • Manage efforts and resources to monitor that new salaried employees and internal transfers are onboarded on systems that support the enablement of their job functions
  • Recommend processes, tools and best practices to roll out content in an effective and efficient mode
  • Drive and support audience definition and learner selection efforts for training programs 
  • Manage communications with learners through CEMEX University

Continuous Learning

  • Develop and update programs to ensure that they are current by making recommendations on future improvements to content management, workflow processes, and learner experience
  • Design and develop learning resources for consulting of specific and most needed topics
  • Continuously align training and development plans with organizational strategy
  • Stay abreast of CEMEX tools development to continue being a subject matter expert
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources, Organizational Development highly preferred
  • 5 years of professional experience required. 3 years’ experience managing projects related to Digital Learning & Development or related field
  • SAP Production, Sales and Purchasing modules experience is required
  • IT/HRIT platforms (SAP, KRONOS, SuccessFactors, Command, Concur) knowledge and experience are strongly preferred
     

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong project management, planning, and people skills
  • Agile mindset and minimum viable product thinking to rapidly implement actions to target audience
  • Solid knowledge of how platforms work including integrations
  • Knowledge of AICC/SCORM standards, and testing of AICC/SCORM courses
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (SABA), Learning Content Creation (Articulate / Vyond) and Learning Delivery tools (GoToTraining) is strongly preferred 
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Team player, able take a leadership role in dealing effectively with various internal and external teams/departments
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills – must be able to speak publically and in front of large groups
  • Proven ability to work closely with executives, management and employees within an organization
  • Proven ability to work independently, meet multiple deadlines, and manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized and detailed-oriented. 
  • Ability to track, measure and analyze data/results and key metrics
  • Understanding of operational processes and systems
  • Demonstrated ability to employ research and strategic thinking
  • Travel required with overnight stays (up to 10% per year)
