Job Summary

As a leader, is responsible for the Market Intelligence studies of certain categories, reviews market trends, conditions, regulations, products, and suppliers to better support the purchasing and negotiation decision-making. As well as managing the supplier development program to support purchasing and development teams in supplier cost reduction, maintains performance reports, and identifies supply chain risks, establishing gap plans.

Job Responsibilities

•    Continually monitors supply & technology trends, macro economic tendencies and factors related suppliers and categories from the building materials Industry
•    Analyzes and prepares projections, forecasts and models of the international and local supply markets & commodities’ prices
•    Monitor suppliers and competitors dynamics (Mergers, acquisitions, expansions, divestments, new projects and technologies)
•    Continually searches for new supply sources and alternative products (Raw Materials, Fuels, By-Products, etc) including LCC
•    Analyze external market trends to identify new business practices & process improvements
•    Benchmark best practices outside the Company
•    Identify potential impact of changes in laws & regulations in our Industry
•    Responsible for the communication of the Market Intelligence information and data to the target audiences
•    Responsible for research, analysis, filter & classification of information related to competitors, suppliers, markets, commodities, macro economic tendencies, new technologies and processes, alternative inputs (Raw Materials, Fuels, By-Products, etc) and trends.
•    Responsible for research about hedging, futures & options strategies for commodities of CX interest
•    Responsible for the supplier development program
•    Develop strategic alliances with key companies.
•    Establish a supplier journey to improve internal purchasing and inventory management processes

Qualifications

5 + years in Procurement, Supply Chain
10 + years in Administration, strategic planning
5 + years Working in / with multifunctional teams

  • Bachelor in Science, Supply Chain, Business
  • Knowledge of SAP, excell, word, power point 
  • Master in Business Administration, other (Desire)
  • Second language (Desire)

Working Conditions

  • Capable of working in an office environment and of working extended hours as needed
  • Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time
