Job Summary

As an HR Intern at CEMEX USA, you'll participate in a 10-week program designed to build your career. You'll rotate through key HR areas that involve hands-on projects and networking opportunities, giving insight into CEMEX's core business lines.

Job Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience through practical, project-based work.
• Meet or exceed company safety standards, be an advocate for safety.
• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.
   

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing and have achieved junior year status in one of the following bachelor's degrees:
• Human Resource Management, Human Resource, Business Management or similar majors.
• GPA of 2.5 and above (3.0 preferred).
• Up to 2 years of relevant work experience, including HR internships (generalist roles), co-op positions, or university projects. 
   

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• HR Analytics (Excel), self-initiative.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and a proactive approach to taking on new challenges. 
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented.

Working Conditions

Office Environment.
Must wear protective equipment while at plant’s location.  
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
Requires effective verbal communication and hearing to interact with team members and visitors, and to ensure safe operation around heavy equipment.
 

Physical Requirements

• Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
• Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors
