Job Summary

The Senior Manager Procurement Processes will support the Procurement Organization by leading and executing projects, providing actionable KPI’s and reports, implementing and improving new and existing processes, guaranteeing the flawless operation of Marketplace and the SRM office. This position also serves as the liaison between the Procurement department and the other support areas in the organization (IT, Health & Safety, Legal, Sustainability, Communications, etc.)

Job Responsibilities

  • Safeguard the execution of the Global Procurement Model enforcing all applicable policies
  • Ensures PACS compliance and adherence
  • Generate and consolidate KPI’s that will allow Procurement Management to make decisions
  • Constantly review and improve Procurement processes and streamline based on Lean Manufacturing principals
  • Lead and execute successful implementation of projects across the business. Process, People and Technology driven
  • Propose and implement actions to improve working capital  
  • Center of excellence for all Import & Customs related transactions
  • Ensure sharing of best practices across Business
  • Responsible for training, documenting and updating CEMEX’s policies and procedures. 
  • Ensure Supplier’s active and successful participation in all SRM Supplier Programs
  • Responsible for streamlining operation of Marketplace


  • Product and materials knowledge
  • Knowledge of the cement/concrete production process
  • Is able to apply supply chain management concepts
  • Understands external customer requirements and their impact on internal customers and suppliers
  • Deep knowledge of JDE functional processes and systems (maintenance, inventories and purchasing modules)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain,  Administration, Finance, Information Systems or similar
  • +10 years professional experience 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs and SAP
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Analytical skills, able to manage large amounts of data
  • Self-motivated and highly organized
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to manage multiple projects at once

Working Conditions

  • Capable of working in an office environment
  • Capable of working extended hours as needed
  • Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time 

Physical Requirements

  • Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently Job involves sitting, walking or standing.
