Job Summary

Work in close collaboration with the business and the business relationship head specific to a region to meet CEMEX business requirements and ensure that services are delivered to the business in a timely and accurate way.

Job Responsibilities

Functional Accountabilities 

  • Act as a business consultant specific to a business area to Business Relationship head and regional leadership
  • Create successful relationships with business and being trusted advisors on issues and aspects related to service delivery
  • Maintain and manage the strategic GES plans for their specific business portfolio for both the short term and long-term horizon
  • Acts as top GES representative in the region and as key point of contact for the Business relationship head specific to a business area
  • Provide insights on business performance specific to their business area in the respective region
  • Ensures services are delivered to the business in a timely and accurate way on both transactional and ad hoc support.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver consolidated reporting for the Business Relationship Head and GES head
  • Identify business pain-points and work with delivery and business excellence groups to drive transformation
  • Maintain awareness of changes to business strategy, goals and processes to ensure requirements appropriately reflect the needs and priority of the business
  • Manage business outcomes & metrics specific to their area and provide inputs to defining SLAs
  • Maintain accuracy and level of details of business requirements from BRAs and relevant stakeholders
  • Quantify business benefits for the organization to be tracked while preparation of business case and post project implementation
  • Optimize chargebacks and project budgets

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Understand and integrate business strategies and trends in services delivery to deliver value
  • Ability to focus and drive targeted business outcomes and results
  • Highly skilled and experienced at negotiating conflict and problem-solving to achieve win-win outcomes at executive level



  • Master’s degree preferrable
  • 10+ years’ experience within Financial shared services / operations experience in a corporate environment, ideally with significant exposure to the building materials industry
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to gather information from disparate sources to identify trends/gaps and build business solutions
  • Understanding of financial results and related concepts, P&L’s, Balance Sheet, Working Capital, Free Cash Flow, etc.
  • Ability to understand accounting transactions, debits, credits, provisions, accruals, receivables, prepaids, amortization, etc. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a combination of the internal teams and outsourced vendor staff
  • Possess high degree of business and organizational understanding
  • Strong awareness and understanding of emerging technologies and solutions

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrable experience in advanced stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills including a proven ability to influence at a Senior Management and Executive level

Broad strategic experience – excellent strategic thinking and critical analysis skills – able to see our future and how we get there

Excellent collaboration and influencing skills – able to challenge effectively, provoke new thinking, and drive progress and change throughout the delivery center

Capable of getting things done both through formal channels and the informal network

Excellent written & verbal communication

Working Conditions

Capable to work extended hours as needed
Capable of working in an open concept office environment

Physical Requirements

  • Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.   Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time
