Job Summary
The Regional Procurement Manager coordinates the execution of the Procurement Strategy in the different Regional businesses in the country. This position is responsible to manage the Procurement teams for the Aggregates, Ready Mix, Supply Chain, Admixtures and other Materials Operations supporting the efforts for cost savings initiatives, builds supplier relationships, and ensures continuous supply of materials and services while managing working capital. The Regional Procurement Manager collaborates with Directors and VP’s in the Region, for the different Operations, to align the Procurement Strategy and Tactics to the Regions requirements and needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Communication with Corporate Procurement team to understand the Strategy and develop the best way to implement it in the Region to bring the expected results.
- Build the Procurement yearly Plan for the Region.
- Guarantees flow of information and effective communication among Regional Management team, Operations and Maintenance.
- Participates in the annual forecast and budget process in conjunction with Regional team.
- Responsible for Managing the Procurement team activities and responsibilities in the Region.
- Fulfillment of goods and services requirements in a timely manner.
- Purchase of materials, products & services.
- Negotiation plan.
- Inventory administration for Spare Parts Warehouse managed by Procurement
Qualifications
- Operation Product and Material knowledge.
- Knowledge of the Cement/Concrete/Aggregate/Construction industry.
- Able to apply Supply Chain Management concepts.
- Understands customer requirements and suppliers’ impact on internal and external customers.
- Deep knowledge of SAP functional processes and systems (maintenance, inventories and purchasing modules).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Procurement, Operations or Supply Chain.\
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree and/or Supply Chain Certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong proven Leadership Skills
- Strong Time Management and Organization Skills.
- Strong Communication Skills (both in-writing and verbally).
- Managerial / Leadership skills: Capable of leading a team to perform as per the strategy and targets.
- Microsoft Office Skills(especially Excel <Data Analysis>, PowerPoint <presenting to Management> & Word <completing contracts>)
Working Conditions
- Capable of working in an office environment
- Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time
Physical Requirements
- Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
- Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently Job involves sitting, walking or standing.
