Job Summary

Prepares technical ready-mix concrete documents for submittal to contractors, project managers, engineers, architects and owners.  Proportion ready-mix concrete mix designs to meet company objectives and project requirements.  Manage material databases to ensure ready-mix concrete production is consistent with established proportions.  Create and maintain all ready-mix concrete SAP Master Data, including Material Masters, Bills of Materials, costing, etc. for the CEMEX East Region.  

Job Responsibilities

  • Work within the Mix Design Center and with other technical teams to develop and maintain ready-mix concrete mix design proportions.
  • Maintain support documents for ready-mix concrete submittal packages, including raw material certificates, product performance verification, technical letters, etc. 
  • Publish ready mix concrete submittal packages.
  • Manage ready-mix concrete databases and perform SAP material intensive tasks required to support concrete production systems.
  • Must comply with company safety rules and regulations and promote Zero4Life in all activities.
  • Provide CEMEX Sales, Operations, BSC, Help Desk, etc. with technical support and assist with SAP problem resolutions.
  • Correspond with the industry community regarding questions or concerns about our products and services. 
  • Execute special SAP and Command Series projects in response to system upgrades, changes and improvements.  
     

Qualifications

  • 4-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Computer literate and able to use existing systems and grow into company networked programs of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Command Series and Command Batch.
  • SAP experience is strongly desired.
  • Knowledge of Ready Mix Operations and/or QC functions a plus. 
  • Database management and excellent communication skills.
  • Attention to details and work product accuracy is critical.  Able to work within several computer programs, simultaneously without errors.  Must be able to work with major focus on the most precise details in SAP. 
  • Strong data organizational skills with analytical/problem solving ability.

  • Requires stationary position, traverse, move, transport, and the ability to significant degree to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, or position
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with employees and other individuals as well as function safely within an office environment and, on occasion, may visit industrial plant locations
