Job Description

Establish and ensure compliance with CEMEX Electrical & Automation engineering guidelines, design criteria, specifications, and standards during the execution of worldwide projects complying with projects’ principles of Health, Safety, Sustainability, Efficiency and Reliability ensuring assets life cycle and profitability.


Main Responsibilities

  • Develop, deploy (manage) review, and update Electrical engineering guidelines, design criteria, specifications, and standards, applicable to all CEMEX worldwide construction projects.
  • Technical reviews on CAPEX investments worldwide.
  • Plan, coordinate, perform and fulfill the basic & detail Electrical engineering development in terms of quality, cost, and time schedule for projects above $15 MUSD, establishing an adequate follow up of engineering activities and determine appropriate and timely corrective actions.
  • Organize and manage the necessary resources to perform Electrical technical analysis and budgets in the stages of pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for worldwide projects above and between $1 to 15 MUSD.
  • Review and approve scope and technical solution of Electrical engineering and specialized services contracts, required for the execution of worldwide projects above $15 MUSD.
  • Advise the projects construction team during project execution, startup and commissioning stages, providing immediate and effective solutions to ensure cost, quality, and execution time.
  • Constantly evaluate global Electrical installation technologies and equipment’s suppliers to create and classify a list of pre-approved installation technologies, equipment suppliers and specialized constructions companies to ensure the most competitive cost and quality.
  • Organize and manage necessary Electrical engineering and installation audits of projects in progress to ensure budget, time execution and economic benefits complying with design guidelines, specifications and standards.
  • Review new technologies, installation procedures and/or materials to apply this knowledge to CEMEX worldwide projects.




  • English proficiency
  • Electrical and/or Automation Engineering degree with 8-10 yr experience in Electrical and Automation Engineering & projects and 5-8 yrs Cement plan design and 5 yrs of people management experience, dominates engineering process development, deep knowledge of cement process main & auxiliary equipment
  • Knowledge of PC Programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Others, Specify: Autocad general knowledge, Staad Pro, SAP 2000, Robot
  • High level of knowledge of cement, ready-mix and aggregate industry process.
  • Dominates engineering process development
  • Willing to travel to site
