Job Description

To establish and ensure company-wide compliance of CEMEX's guidelines, standards, and procedures applicable to development and administration of investment projects complying with the expected benefits within proposed budget, established execution times, health & safety objectives and required quality.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop, establish, and ensure with CEMEX compliance project administration guidelines, standards and procedures of investments projects which are required for the company’s growth (new cement green fields, new clinker lines, cement maritime and land terminals).
  • Define, approved, and establish a formal status report required for the project investment execution follow above $15 MUSD, ensuring the correct funds application, execution progress within original schedule and the use of CEMEX standards and design criteria. Organize and perform audits project execution above $ 15 MUSD to ensure administration procedures complies with CEMEX criteria.
  • Ensure the networks collaboration in regions with the participation of Global Operations & Technical VP, Project Administration specialized personnel and taking advantage of experiences in similar projects of the group.
  • Establish a service agreement with local operation for scope, time, and cost for large projects execution according with feasibility study scope and approved budget
  • Establish, control and report project administration for large projects, including scope control, budget control, cash flow, time schedule, permits manage, environment, health & safety procedures, opportunities, and general administration complying with projects objectives.
  • Established and coordinate agreements with other corporate departments (Legal, Controllership, Human Resources, Procurement, Environment, Operation, Security, Health & Safety, Finances, Risks and Procurement) to support the large projects in execution.
  • Ensure the application of a formal procedure to standardize the support document investment request for projects above $15 MUSD complying with CEMEX guidance & engineering standards.
  • Establish and operate methodology to perform random audits for project execution above $ 15 MUSD (at least 10% of the total yearly project

 

Qualifications

  • English proficiency
  • Civil or Industrial Engineering degree with 6-8 yr personnel mgmt., 8-10 yrs working in project administration, 3-4 yrs working in cement, ready mix or aggregates experience
  • Knowledge of PC Programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Others, Specify: Autocad general knowledge, Staad Pro, SAP 2000, Robot
  • Willing to travel to site
