DECARBONIZATION TECHNOLOGIES ANALYST

As an Investment Analyst in DecarbonizationTechnologies within CEMEX Ventures you will provide industry and technology expertise and insights in the application of Decarbonization technologies in the build environment, with a focus on Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS). Whilst working together for the analysis of a potential investment and/or collaboration between CEMEX and a company, you will serve as an expert to identify and evaluate the leading technologies in Decarbonization.

Your main focus is on developing and providing expertise and advise to the CEMEX Ventures investment team, CEMEX areas and the companies we work with in the growing field of Sustainability in Construction to help build a more resilient ecosystem through the mitigation of the CO2 footprint.

Additionally, you will support CEMEX Ventures in developing existing and new intellectual property and knowledge assets through research, investigation and networking.

Exemplary tasks are:

· Analyze a specific carbon capture technology to assess TRL, impact, applications, benchmarks, etc.

· Identify companies within this technology, to evaluate their potential in detail.

· After completing Due Diligence, you recommend the company for an investment or a collaboration with CEMEX.

· Provide valuable advice and feedback to the company.

· Investigate and research of the technologies available for Decarbonization: TRLs, potential impact, applications, benchmarks, etc.

· Analysis of the technology of companies focusing on Decarbonization (CCUS)

· dentificate, filter and due diligence of the companies for a potential investment and collaboration

· Advise, Mentoring and Portfolio Management to the companies to accelerate the business collaboration with CEMEX

· Participate in events, round tables and other networking activities around Decarbonization

Qualifications:

· Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Physics.

· 1+ years of experience of industry experience in Decarbonization of industrial processes is strongly preferred

· Spanish and english (C1) is required

· Strong motivation and enthusiasm for startups, (early-stage) technology and construction

· Solving problems through formulating relevant research and/or analytical approaches in Decarbonization topics

· Working collaboratively and effectively in a group dynamic often virtual, proficient in agile ways of working

· Flexibility and bringing a curious and creative mindset, open to new things and able to propose innovative ideas
