Job Summary

The Transport Compliance Administrator is responsible to perform all tasks safe and efficient operations of the fleet by monitoring the everyday practices for DOT compliance, maintaining proper documentation and follow retention guidelines, and assisting with accident and safety related items. Training staff to be DOT compliant and oversee the operations are meeting the Federal, State, Local and company policies and regulations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Check and verify all incoming PSP requests via Tenstreet as well as upload and submit any forms associated with the PSP (PSP, CSA SCORECARD, CDLIS, MVR). 
  • Process all Pre-Placement and Recertification physicals for new and existing drivers by downloading and updating various programs such as Tenstreet DQF, Load Master, and Teams. 
  • Review and respond to incoming Employment Verifications that pertain to New Line Transport LLC and verify information using Load Master. 
  • Consistently review drivers in Load Master to ensure they do not have any expired documents (CDL, Physical, Smith System Training, Mirror Check Training). 
  • Review IIX MVRs to verify drivers are still in good standing with driving privilege and monitor any changes to the driver’s motor vehicle history. 
  • Process De-Commencements of drivers using the NLT Commencement Tiles and deactivate drivers in all programs following procedure to maintain a constant driver count. 
  • Check and respond to incoming emails into NLT Compliance/NLT Logging inbox to ensure all the requests are being completed. 
  • Continuous training to learn other processes and be able to have all Team Members cross trained in all duties and tasks in case someone is off. 
  • Daily/Weekly/Monthly reporting/analysis, program administrator for ELD accounts, escalation of issues (between Logging/terminals), training of new staff/tasks within department, auditing of departmental tasks/staff, in field training with managers and with VEP Manager.
  • Daily review and audit logs, HOS violation report, Unassigned driving time, form & manner errors, Sensor/Equipment Malfunctions, etc.
  • Review and report all Pre/Post Trip Inspections & DVIR’s are completed. All maintenance is documented. 
  • Upload, and organize incoming registrations and inspection reports into Teams folder corresponding to Terminal to be used to update the New Line Transport Master Inspection Report. 
  • Monitor roadside inspections to be properly completed and documented.
  • Other duties as assigned by the coordinator or manager. 

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the trucking and hauling industry and an understanding of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong computer skills, with proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database programs
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Must be able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
  • Must have extensive knowledge of equipment types, capacity, and capabilities
  • Bilingual: English, and Spanish preferred.

  • Capability to work extended hours as necessary
  • Ability to work with standard office/computer Equipment
  • Capable of working in an open office environment

Physical Requirements

  • Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently   
  • Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors
