Job Summary

The Delivery Manager will manage the blending and washing system for the Quarry including the rail and truck loading systems.  Responsibilities include the supervision and scheduling of load out personnel, budgeting, cost management, vendor supervision and management as well railroad coordination.     

Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinate efforts with Technical Services, Production, Transport, Sales, Procurement, Environmental, Human Resources, Safety and vendors
  • Utilize Action Based Safety to demonstrate a strong commitment to Zero4Life within the Loadout Department
  • Track costs and identify areas for improvement within the Loadout Department
  • Develop and maintain a safe and environmentally compliant operation Develop and maintain operational methods to improve efficiencies and produce a consistent quality product for customers
  • Coordinate daily activities with Technical Services and Production
  • Develop schedules to manage overtime requirements and ensure proper customer service levels
  • Maintain mobile equipment with assistance of maintenance personnel through preventative maintenance scheduling and execution
  • Maintain plant equipment including but not limited to pumps, chutes, silos, conveyor belts, PLC systems, and scales, etc
  • Develop annual budget in coordination with Production and Terminals.
  • Coordinate loading and delivery schedules between production, sales, and terminal operations
  • Communicate with railroad personnel to ensure efficient equipment utilization and shipment scheduling
  • Adhere to all CEMEX, OSHA and MSHA rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
  • Meet or exceed company safety standards
  • Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or Logistics preferred
  • 3 years of management supervision experience required
  • 3 years of logistics experience preferred
  • 5 years of aggregate industry experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must be computer literate with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and able to learn Kronos timekeeping system
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred
Working Conditions
  • Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors.
  • Must wear protective equipment while at the location 
Physical Requirements

·Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree

  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
  •  Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment  
  • Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls
