Job title:  (CEN) ANALYST LAB

Job Description

The role involves technical activities focused on the analysis, interpretation, and synthesis of results. The successful candidate will support ongoing projects by applying analytical techniques, ensuring data quality, and contributing to the generation of meaningful insights to support decision-making and research outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

1. The candidate must adhere to all established safety guidelines to ensure their own protection and that of others
2. Deliver accurate and reliable analytical results while actively participating in training and quality assessments.
3. Contribute to the maintenance and operational integrity of the analytical equipment assigned.
4. Maintaining cleanliness and order in the laboratory is an essential part of the role, especially in the assigned work areas.

Position Challenges

• Ability to perform laboratory activities for extended periods.
• Synthesize information and generate detailed reports of results, demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Schedule testing programs according to assigned priorities
• Handle and transport heavy loads, either manually or with the use of mechanical aids

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical engineering, Materials Engineering, Nanotechnology engineering, or similar backgrounds.
• 100% English, spoken and written.
• Experience in laboratory testing, instrumentation and characterization techniques of admixtures, nanomaterials, raw materials, and construction materials.
• Knowledge of the following techniques for chemical and physical characterization of materials: XRF, XRD, FTIR, DLS, SEM, isothermal calorimetry, DSC/DTA, PSD.
• Soft Skills: Time management, presentation skills, public speaking, self-motivated, project management, planning skills.

INTERNAL

• Laboratory Analysts, Cement Researchers, Quality Specialists, Projects coordinator, Laboratory Coordinator, other Cemex laboratories.

EXTERNAL

• Vendors, consultants, suppliers.
