Job Description

Center of Digital Initiatives (CODi) leader oversees the direction and focusing of the cases the CODi crew will be striving to solve or analyze for best value generation.  CODi is a CEMEX group for solution definition to all topics related to improve cement plants performance, best practices replication, and process consultation.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead a 3 CODi analysts’ team, attending their professional needs and orienting their technical training.
  • Track and keep Governance on all topics related to process assessment.
  • Case building orientation:  After analyzing data compiled trends and charts, build, and prioritize cases for process improvement in cement Plants.
  • Solution building initiatives (detecting opportunities).  Contact Plants and Process & Energy Support regional departments for problem exposure and solution path discussion.
  • Solution tracking and feedback to Plants and Process & Energy Support regional departments
  • Resources finding support for solution making, when necessary and local resources are not available.
  • Observe available technologies for data management and machine learning, and their possible application for Cement Plants.
  • KPI tracking for solution feedback and resetting
  • Cement Production Process & Energy Support:  Interpretation of data for cement process, to identify main challenges.
  • New technology evaluator for data management, trend generation, and value road mapping
  • Solution building process initiator with the Plants, exposing to Plant Mgt the main challenges within their operations

Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

5 years of experience in cement plant operations.

Knowledge in PC Programs such as Word, Power Point, Excel, Minitab, R Plotting, SEEQ and PI tools.

Technical Knowledge

Demonstrate analytical ability.

Apply financial planning and accounting concepts.

Strategic and Analytical thinking

Critical thinking, listening, learning, problem solving and decision making

Interpersonal skills

An excellent interpersonal skill, a person who listens well, respects diversity of opinion and has an open, clear and succinct communication style / Effective organizational and time management skills in handling multiple projects / Ability to identify risks / Self-motivated and strong commitment to teamwork / Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
