Executing M&A transactions across geographies worldwide, assessing business development opportunities, portfolio rebalancing, support strategic planning analysis and internal consulting projects.



  • Participate in M&A transactions by developing valuation models (DCF, multiples, etc.) and evaluating transaction investment metrics.
  • Assess business development opportunities in CEMEX and non-CEMEX markets and geographies.
  • Participate in (and potentially lead) work streams of internal consulting projects for CEMEX worldwide across our 4 core businesses (cement, ready-mix, aggregates and Urbanization Solutions).
  • Analyze market conditions, competitive dynamics, and industry performance to identify opportunities which would improve CEMEX’s positioning as a leader in the building materials industry.
  • Engage and coordinate with internal and external project stakeholders including external advisors.
  • Prepare materials and present recommendations for top management meetings, including Board of Directors, Corporate Practices Committee, Executive Committee, and other events
  • Work and coordinate with corporate staff and regional operational areas, including finance, legal, tax, accounting, sustainability, operations and technical, R&D, among others
  • Coordinate with external entities, including banks, consultants, counsels among others
  • Develop junior members of the team.



  • Master’s degree or equivalent desired, but not mandatory.
  • 5 years of work experience in M&A, Investment Banking, Consulting, Finance, Corporate Planning, Business Development, Innovation, or equivalent experience
  • Advanced English required (C1/C2 or TOEFL/IELTS equivalent)
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
