Schedule Availability: Between 25 and 30 hours per week

Period of Stay at CEMEX: 6 months, with the option of renewal

Project Objective

Collaborate in the development of projects, performing tasks and activities in the Global laboratory-

 

Challenges for the Students

  • Perform in a cement laboratory work environment (manual operation, standing periods), as well as in office work for the preparation of reports and presentations.
  • Carry out chemical and physical analyses on cement, clinker, raw materials and SCM samples
 

Main Responsibilities and Activities to Be Carried Out

  • Carry out tasks involving research on technological updates through digital search resources, databases and specialized publications.
  • Prepare technology watch reports.
  • Carry out analysis and testing of samples in the cement laboratory.
  • Support inventory activities.
  • Support equipment maintenance, calibration and verification plan activities.

 

Specific Requirements / Qualifications

  • Ability to synthesize and organize data, as well as to prepare presentations.
  • Laboratory experience: chemical-type analysis activities and physical tests involving physical effort (maximum load 20–25 kg).
  • Attention to detail: chemical analysis activities are sensitive to variations.
  • Independence: ability to learn and perform chemical and physical laboratory tests autonomously, without constant supervision.
  • Behave responsibly and in accordance with CEMEX’s Health and Safety guidelines.
  • IT skills: MS Office and digital design tools.
