Job Summary

Responsible for coordinating and scheduling Aggregate deliveries to Ready Mix Plants within the region. 

Job Responsibilities

• Aids Ready Mix and Aggregate departments with cost efficient route planning and material sourcing.
• Responsible with assisting BSO and Sales teams with setting up and maintaining new Internal Contracts and Scheduling Agreements.
• Fosters relationships with external vendors and haulers.
• Provide forecasting and planning reports for Ready Mix and Aggregate groups weekly.
• Responsible for freight negotiations with internal Transport and external haulers.
• Assist Ready Mix and Aggregate Quality Control teams with high priority projects.
• Responsible for maintaining clean inventory stockpiles for high priority customers.
• Assist procurement team as acting liaison for signing on new vendor/haulers.
   

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in operations or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• High school diploma or equivalent 
• 2-5 years of industry experience (load planning and dispatch preferred) 
   

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Prior experience with aggregate products and dispatching a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft office products, including Excel.  Apex and SAP experience preferred
• Ability to work regular workweek including weekends, and hours may vary depending on customer needs 
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in fast-paced environment
• Possess analytical, problem-solving (basic mathematical skills) and organizational skills. Be detail oriented and accurate
   

Working Conditions

• Must wear protective equipment while at the location  
• Capable to work extended hours as needed

Physical Requirements

• Long periods of standing/walking required
• Exposure to dust, noise, and extreme temperatures

• Requires stationary position, navigate, move, transport, and the ability to significant degree to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, or position
• Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
• Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time 
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors
