Job Summary

This role is responsible for the functions, operations, and activities related to US operation, financial planning and performance. It is an integral role within the Planning team with great exposure to the overall operation and senior management

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the annual budget process and perform operational analyses for senior management.
  • Conduct seasonality, pricing impact, volume/pricing breakeven, cost benchmark and other detailed analyses during the process
  • Forecast and analyze operational results on an ongoing basis; prepare the scenario analysis based on various business assumption; develop financial models to conduct cost-benefit analysis
  • Involve in building company’s strategic business plan, working with various departments performing detailed analysis including estimating market share, as well as assessing Capex requirements
  • Oversee the Capex authorization process and manage the allocated funds throughout the year iwth the operations team.
  • Develop valuation models for long-term business plans and asset impairment tests
  • Adhere to all CEMEX, OSHA, and MSHA rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
  • Meet or exceed company safety standards
  • Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Master in Finance or MBA preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Prioritize, handle multiple tasks and work in a fast paced and high volume environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong sense of urgency, detail oriented and ability to drive results
  • Basic Accounting knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to maintain and handle confidential information

Working Conditions

  • Capable to work extended hours as needed
  • Capable of working in an open concept office environment

Physical Requirements

  • Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.   Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors
