Job Summary

The Planning Business Development Manager will be responsible for leading business development projects in the Region, including acquisitions, divestments and large capital projects. This position will work closely with U.S. Strategy group in Houston to ensure continuity between regional and U.S. strategy. This position reports directly to the VP of Strategic Planning.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead/Manage various business development projects in the Region, including acquisitions, divestments and large capital projects.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with the U.S. Strategy Group in Houston to ensure continuity between the regions and the US.
  • Acquire and analyze data to develop recommendations and communicate analysis and recommendations to senior management.
  • Prepares reports on our operations, our competitors and our market/industry
  • Assists corporate and other areas/departments with company/industry information
  • Supports the Florida Region in developing annual financial budgets, capital expenditure budgets and monthly forecasting.
  • Perform financial analysis and valuation on new opportunities including market size, strategic fit, and probability. 
  • Prepare presentations for senior management containing project overview and proposed course of action.
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.  MBA preferred 
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with a manufacturing company in a Project Management and/or strategic planning role. 
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and project management skills – problem solver that seeks the best solution
     

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking skills 
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a sense of urgency. 
  • Advanced MS-Office and PowerPoint skills, with emphasis on Excel
  • SAP experience preferred. 
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills 
  • Strong networking ability. 
     

Working Conditions

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with employees and other individuals as well as function safely within an office environment and industrial plant locations (PPE will be required).
  • Travel required.
  • Able to work extended hours as needed.
  • Able to work with standard office/computer equipment. 
  • Able to work in an open concept office environment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment. 
  • Ability to travel up to 15% 
     

Physical Requirements

  • Requires stationary position, traverse, move, transport, and the ability to significant degree to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, or position.
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.   Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors.
