Schedule Availability: Between 25 and 30 hours per week

Period of Stay at CEMEX: 6 months, with the option of renewal

Project Objective

This position supports global financial reporting under IFRS and collaborates with cross-functional teams across the Company to ensure accurate and compliant reporting.

 

Challenges for the Students

  • Managing accuracy associated with quarterly and annual financial reporting cycles, including SEC filings such as Form 20-F and Form 6-K.
  • Addressing technical accounting and disclosure matters under IFRS.
  • Coordinating cross-functional teams across geographies.

 

Main Responsibilities and Activities to Be Carried Out

  • Participate in the preparation and review of the Company’s consolidated annual financial statements under IFRS and any interim period as required.
  • Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, controls and external reporting requirements.
  • Support the preparation and coordination of SEC filings, BMV, and other regulatory submissions.
  • Collaborate in the analysis and validation of accounting estimates and matters.
  • Support implementation and monitoring of new IFRS standards.
  • Contribute to tool improvements and automation initiatives within the global reporting process.

 

Specific Requirements / Qualifications

Technical Skills.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point, Power BI, and internal financial data analysis tools.
  • Experience with financial reporting or consolidation systems is desirable.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail. Effective communication and storytelling skills to clearly explain financial information, along with a collaborative mindset and a strong willingness to continuously learn and develop technical expertise.
