Job Description

In this position, you will support the Accounting Technology team on monthly, quarterly, and annual processes, conduct research activities and technical accounting documentation, and be involved in any relevant transaction impacting Cemex's financial statements.

Main Responsibilities

  • Month-end closing of the financial derivatives instruments’ portfolio and preparation of reports.
  • Writing financial standards reports, as well as financial reporting standards analysis.
  • Calculation of mid-term and year-end Deferred Income Tax.
  • Support in preparing consolidated financial statements and footnotes.
  • Project management to implement new accounting guidelines and digital evolution.
  • Elaboration of reports for the Senior VP of Controllership.

  • Engage in discussions with business units across different countries.

Qualifications

  • Advanced English in writing and speaking.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • MS Office advanced level.
  • Hyperion Financial Management.
  • SAP.
  • IFRS, EU Taxonomy, iXBRL tagging technical knowledge.
  • Knowledge of public information to the SEC and BMV
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication and writing skills, excellent analytical and numeric skills, critical thinking ability, attention to detail, self-motivation, and collaborative work capabilities.

INTERNAL

  • Controllership VP / Directors/ teams in Central and country offices.
  • Consolidation, Internal Control, Tax, Finance, and Process Assessment, among others.

 

EXTERNAL

  • Accounting firms, Donnelley Financial Solutions, and other outsourcing partners.
