Job Description
The Digital Innovation Analyst role supports the advancement of digital innovation across Cemex operations by helping identify business needs, evaluate opportunities, and coordinate initiatives aligned with strategic priorities. The position connects internal stakeholders with emerging solutions, startups, and best practices to enable pilots, knowledge-sharing, and scalable improvements through programs such as Smart Innovation, Communities of Practice, and Leaplab. It also tracks progress, outcomes, and key insights from innovation initiatives to provide visibility and support informed decision-making. Through strong cross-functional collaboration, the role contributes to operational efficiency, continuous improvement, and effective execution of innovation efforts.
Main Responsibilities
- Strengthen an innovation mindset across the organization through Smart Innovation by promoting continuous improvement, sharing success cases, encouraging adoption of new ways of working, and helping teams translate challenges into scalable digital opportunities.
- Enable Communities of Practice by coordinating core team sessions, webinars, capturing insights, and promoting knowledge sharing, replication of best practices, and cross-regional collaboration.
- Identify, scout, and assess startups, technologies, and innovative practices that can address strategic operational needs and improvement opportunities.
- Enable and coordinate through the Leaplab Program agile pilots of startup solutions with Cemex operational teams, aligned with digitalization priorities; track outcomes, measure business impact, and document technology potential to support adoption decisions.
- Maintain visibility of digital innovation initiatives across regions and functions through structured reporting, progress updates, and portfolio tracking.
- Maintain and regularly update market intelligence on digital solutions, technology trends, and relevant competitors to strengthen internal awareness and support decision-making

Qualifications
- Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Innovation, Digital Transformation, or a related field.
Areas of expertise:
- Digital Innovation & Technology Application: Experience identifying, assessing and applying digital or emerging technologies to improve business processes, operational performance, or transformation initiatives.
- Project Management: Experience enabling & coordinating cross-functional initiatives by aligning stakeholders, tracking progress, and supporting successful execution.
- External Collaboration & Partnerships: Experience working with third parties (e.g., vendors, partners, startups, consultants) to evaluate opportunities and enable innovative solutions
- Value & Impact Assessment: Ability to assess and communicate business impact and benefits, even with limited or evolving information.
