Job Description

Enterprise Change Management is a CEMEX Competence and Capability that require the “Design and Execution” of the communication strategies, practices, and plans to enable a successful awareness & engagement execution of key and global initiatives promoted by our customers, and oriented on the people side of change, always centered in the personas, and applying the OCM Change Management Framework, Change Management Practices and Best in Class Change Methodologies.

Main Responsibilities

  • Build and execute communication strategies, plans, and toolkits to rollout initiatives at both, global and local levels.
  • Enable OCM Change Management Framework and Industry Best Practices in the areas of Change Management and Communication to drive people-centric strategies to support change projects.
  • Understand CEMEX’s strategic goals; have a mindset towards building the firm’s culture through interesting communication and engagement efforts in projects.
  • Connect all functional areas needed to enable a project/part of a project. Identify stakeholders and bring them together to align on definitions and roadmaps; sponsor messages; and execute activities.
  • Coach business leaders to be active and visible project sponsors, motivating people and promoting the organization/project objectives.
  • Work closely with Business Project Leaders, to help colleagues feel a sense of belonging and community to drive change.
  • Identify and manage risks, impediments, and blockers in projects.
  • Edit and curate communication materials for projects of different areas.
  • Understand impacted audiences to generate appealing communication materials.

Position Challenges

  • Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders from the global, regional, and local communication and HR teams to maintain a cohesive, strong communication narrative through change management strategies in line with CEMEX’s profile.
  • Actively engage in the development and innovation of Change Management practices and intellectual capital to continue developing the change management capability in CEMEX.
  • Develop creative ways to increase engagement, improve retention, build trust, and encourage greater collaboration with our customers.
  • Knowledgeable about digital media; be willing to understand and implement emerging practices and technologies; provide thought-leadership and guidance on new trends in social media and corporate intranets and leading-edge new media thinking.


  • Written and oral communication skills (Proven proficiency) in English and Spanish: impeccable grammar, content curation, etc.
  • Preferred academic background: BA in Communications, Journalism, Social Studies.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of proven experience managing internal communications, developing content, or creating communication strategies.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of activities within a project or team; previous experience in setting priorities and balancing competing deadlines desired.
  • Knowledge of a Change Management methodology, preferably Prosci’s.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and guiding Change Management practices to enable projects of global scope.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry business: its implications, conditionings, product generalities, supply chain, target markets, workers profiles, etc. Experience working in it desired.
  • Creative and innovative thinker who pushes boundaries when necessary.
  • Must have outstanding interpersonal skills, honed in a demanding and challenging international work environment.
  • Have a passion for ideas and strong intellect that will lead to positive collaboration experiences.
  • Increase measurable and quantifiable visibility and transparency of project advances and deliverables.
  • Have strong analytical and planning skills.
  • Basic to intermediate usage of the Adobe Suite tools (to adjust materials).
  • Basic design principles knowledge to guide teams.
