Job Description
Assist on the M&A transactions across geographies worldwide, analyze business development opportunities, portfolio rebalancing, support strategic planning analysis and internal consulting projects.
Main Responsibilities
- Analyze M&A transactions, assist in developing valuation models (DCF, multiples, etc.) and evaluate transaction investment metrics.
- Assist in the assessment of business development opportunities in CEMEX worldwide across our 4 core businesses (cement, ready-mix, aggregates and Urbanization Solutions) and non-CEMEX markets and geographies.
- Contribute to analyzing market conditions, competitive dynamics, and industry performance to identify opportunities which would improve CEMEX’s positioning as a leader in the building materials industry.
- Assist in developing materials for top management meetings, including the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and other events.
- Work and coordinate with corporate staff and regional operational areas, including legal, tax, finance, accounting, operations and technical, among others.
Position Challenges
- Handling complex financial models and valuations, managing high pressure and tight deadlines, Dealing with confidentiality and information management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree plus 1-3 years of work experience in M&A, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Finance, Business Development, or equivalent areas
- Advanced English required (C1/C2 or TOEFL/IELTS equivalent)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
