Job Description

The role of the Master Data Management (MDM) Lead governs data integrity and quality across the enterprise, stablish an optimization framework that implements, controls, operates, and maintains all activities and roles related to master data processes for multiple domains such as: Suppliers, Materials, Customer and Financial information.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop a clear, common understanding of the services to be provided under the Business Excellence organization by reviewing existing processes, policies, governance, tools, and teams
  • Assess and suggest MDM solutions that excel defined objectives (improve efficiency, data quality, reduce cost, increase customer satisfaction and global standardization)
  • Evolve the transaction-oriented services to a best-in-class MDM Operating Model that relies on new technologies, strong data governance, global consolidation with common data definitions and effectively monitor performance levels
  • Works as part of the GES Business Excellence team: Global Process Owners, Business Analytics Lead, Transformation Lead, VCoE and Business Relationship Managers among other GES functions to review opportunities and benefits

Position Challenges

  • Ability to understand system relationships, multiple data points in the context of transitioning from the existing environment to a target environment.
  • Ability to effectively assess stakeholder, partner or client needs in a multicultural environment, multi-level organization and for multiple MDM domains (Customers, Suppliers, Materials, Financial data Structures)
  • Ability to identify key issues, involve affected parties, propose solutions, obtain buy-in, and communicate effectively at both executive and technical level
  • Ability to track and monitor project progress, gaps, risks, recommend controls and communicate progress to business leaders


  • 4+ years of experience on Master Data Management Processes implementation, support, and day to day operations
  • 4+ years of experience focusing on data governance, data consolidations, data quality, speed of execution along with accuracy and completeness and process performance for multiple Master Data domains
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to details
