Job Description

The Network Optimization Analyst will be responsible for designing strategic long-term optimization models not only to support decisions on CAPEX Projects, but also to define optimal sourcing, operational benefits by increasing production capacities, opening/closing/relocating plants, EBITDA optimization, Marginal cost. The Network Designer would be responsible for designing models for the three business lines (Cement, Ready-Mix & Aggregates) and for the whole US Region.

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the complete Network Optimization model design process
    • Data gathering and cleansing
    • Model design
    • Scenario design
    • Run iterations with regional operations
    • Presentation elaboration
    • Final results presentation to Top Management
    • Harvesting consolidation
  • Ability to mirror complex Supply Chain conditions into a digital twin
  • Responsible for the model results and potential benefits
  • Responsible for on-demand and yearly planned optimization model portfolio
  • Responsible for model standardization and automation

Position Challenges

Work with LLamasoft tools in Network, Transportation, Inventory and Simulation model’s design.

Successfully communicate outcomes from the model. Create powerful presentations to convince the audience of implementing changes in the network that benefit CEMEX.

Qualifications

  • Engineering Bachelor degree
  • 1.5 – 2 years of experience in Supply Chain, Optimization, Planning or IT
  • Numerical/Mathematical oriented
  • High-level Excel skills
  • Advanced English skills (Speaking, reading, writing)
  • Excellent face-to-face and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working under pressure and under tight deadlines
  • Llamasoft (Desired)
  • SQL (Desired)
  • Python (Desired)
