Job Description
We are looking for a Power BI Specialist to build automated performance dashboards and data visualizations for social media data during a 6-month project-based engagement.
The infrastructure is already in place. Social media platform APIs (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X) are connected and feeding data into Snowflake. The data is structured and organized. What we need is someone who can take this foundation and build on top of it combining advanced Power BI development and statistical modeling to enhance decision making in the External Communications team.
Main Responsibilities
Dashboard Design & Development (50% of time)
- Design and build Power BI dashboard architecture from a detailed wireframe and prototype specification already developed
- Implement the data model in Power BI connecting to Snowflake, including a proper date dimension table, audience bridge table, and normalized taxonomy tables
- Build sync slicers across all pages
Statistical Analysis (25% of time)
- Implement scoring framework as calculated measures in DAX
- Develop statistical measures with percentile normalization
- Build correlation and trend analysis views
AI & Advanced Features (20% of time)
- Integrate Copilot for Power BI to enable querying of the dashboard
- Build Smart Narratives that auto-generate written insight summaries
- Implement predictive analytics based on historical efficiency patterns
- Build automated anomaly narratives with contextual explanation
Documentation & Handoff (5% of time)
- Document the full data model, DAX measure library, and Power Query transformations
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with the internal team

Qualifications
Academic Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a quantitative field
Areas of Expertise
- 3+ years of hands-on Power BI development
- 2+ years working with cloud data warehouses
- Experience building dashboards from data model to production.
