Job Description

The role of the RPA Development Lead is to support the improvement and optimization of GES processes and business activities through implementation of Robotic Processes Automation technology. This role ensures that all processes and activities being automated have been adequately scrutinized before automation and that the programming is per quality standards.

The role works as part of the Corporate Business Excellence team and is focused in maintaining a relationship between Global Process Owners, Subject Matter Experts, Continuous Improvement Advisor and coding partners, to ensure proper alignment of automation solutions and programming strategies.

When needed, the RPA Development Lead will apply programming skills to program software robots in order to fulfill with deadlines and standards.

It is the responsibility of the RPA Development Lead to maintain alignment of an automation project with the methodology for this purpose, and that all automations and programming are adequately documented.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and test automation workflows using Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and other tools such as Automation Anywhere and Service Now.
  • Collaborate with team members of GES Business Excellence to review automation opportunities and benefits
  • Liaise with vendors and members of Business Excellence team to ensure automation projects are optimized for efficient implementations
  • Coordinate with Continuous Improvement Advisor for process reviews to ensure the highest level of quality prior to automation
  • Lead automation of testing processes that span multiple environments including Web, Windows, SAP, and Web services
  • Assist with ongoing automation projects to ensure automation project milestones are achieved in timely manner
  • Assist with ongoing automation projects to troubleshoot potential bottleneck
  • Identify and mitigate existing business risks associated with solution architecture
  • Work collaboratively with test teams during the product test phases to document bugs
  • Ensure standards compliance and institutionalization of automation best practices

Position Challenges

  • Being able to find opportunities of automation in finance and accounting processes by “asking the right questions” to subject matter experts
  • Ability to understand and synthesize in process maps and programming logic a group of activities in the finance and accounting domain
  • Work in aggressive timelines and under pressure
  • Very quick reaction and ability to resolve issues by troubleshooting automations that are already in place
  • Need to clearly communicate realistic expectations and maintain stakeholders engaged in automation requirements

Qualifications

  • English and Spanish
  • General knowledge of services in scope of Finance and Accounting
  • Proven software (low-code) programming skills
  • Experience developing software solutions using object oriented programing such as HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, .NET, and SQL
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong project management skills with methodologies such as AGILE, with ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Continuous Improvement knowledge ( Green Belt either Six Sigma or Lean)
  • Ability to effectively assess stakeholder, partner, or client needs while consulting, building solutions, and developing processes Experience working with robotic process automation technologies
  • Ability to implement a solution and communicate, in clear business terms, the benefits of the proposed risk management approach
  • Ability to identify key issues, involve affected parties, design solutions, obtain buy-in, and communicate effectively through resolution
  • Ability to track and monitor project progress, identify project and process gaps, recommend controls and communicate progress to business leaders
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology infrastructure: data and functions strongly desired including terminology and coding
