Job Description

Responsible for supporting the development of industry-leading social research, focusing on industry-specific issues as well as cross-sectoral themes. The role also requires the collection and management of Social Impact function data to continually drive the enhancement of public releases and promote insights internally and externally.

Main Responsibilities

  • Actively contribute to the team’s daily research activities (i.e., data, social trends, social newsletter development, reputation measurement, compliance with standards, written research, benchmarks, idea generation)
  • Participate in the development of Social Impact research products to contribute to ESG factors and measurement of SDGs, particularly the 5 priority.
  • Integrate social data for company’s annual reports, public policy papers, and media release.
  • Work with other data and core business groups to help develop and enhance content and functionality across CEMEX.
  • Review internal data management protocols for adherence to global quality standards.

Position Challenges

  • Manage significant data analysis responsibilities as part of day-to-day activities.
  • Integrate ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear and simple manner
  • Ability to link performance on ESG issues to financial impacts on an industry and company basis.


  • Full proficiency in English
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably with a focus or concentration in sustainability or related degree.

Areas of expertise

  • Solid experience in ESG research iis essential. Desired more than 2 years in social related experience.
  • Experience with individual data science work, technical skills to develop cloud solutions.

Technical Skills required by role (specify any certifications required or ideal for position)

  • Experience of collating, manipulating and displaying data to create insight and management information
  •  Solid understanding of Financial Macro Development and knowledge of Python, SQL or VBA is beneficial
  •  Strong understanding of existing and emerging ESG reporting frameworks
