Project Objective:
Implement practices, tools, and standards of Business Process Management (BPM) and participate in process improvement and digital transformation projects.
Research technologies and potential use cases for our industry.

 

Challenges for the Student:

  • Work with team members from different cultures located in various time zones.
  • Manage multiple cross-functional and regional stakeholders.
  • Adapt to a matrix organization with a constantly changing environment and priorities.
  • Participate in solving complex and not clearly defined problems.

 

Main Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Data Collection and Research:
    • Investigate and collect relevant data to support process analysis.
    • Assist in obtaining and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Support in Business Process Analysis and Implementation:
    • Help analyze existing business processes to identify areas for improvement and inefficiencies.
    • Work closely with senior consultants to support the implementation of recommended process changes.
    • Communicate initiatives and process changes to stakeholders, including preparing necessary digital and physical materials.
  • Documentation:
    • Produce documentation of processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
    • Keep process documentation organized and up to date.
    • Learn the Cemex BPM platform and be prepared to train users.
  • Technologies and Use Cases:
    • Evaluate technologies and document potential use cases for our industry.

 

Required Skills, Competencies, and/or Knowledge

  • Strong interest in business process improvement and consulting.
  • Data management and analysis skills for problem-solving.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and preferably BPM software such as Visio, Bizagi, Lucidchart, etc.
  • Experience with SharePoint (design and maintenance of pages, HTML), Power BI, Power Apps, and graphic design software is a plus.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written); any other language is a plus.
