Project Objective
High‑impact project supporting leadership decision‑making:
Automate manual strategic planning workflows into data‑driven processes using Bloomberg, Nasdaq, and Microsoft 365 tools (Excel/Power Query, Power BI, Power Automate).
Key Challenges for the Student
- Integrating information across multiple platforms (Bloomberg, Nasdaq, Power BI).
- Balancing technical automation with real-world business logic for strategic planning.
- Designing scalable, user-friendly solutions for non‑technical stakeholders.
- Working with real market data under time constraints, where accuracy and efficiency are critical.
Main Responsibilities and Activities
- Analyze current manual processes and identify opportunities for automation.
- Develop Power Automate flows, Excel macros, and Power BI dashboards for recurring tasks.
- Connect Bloomberg/Nasdaq data feeds to reporting tools.
- Document workflows and create user guides for team adoption.
- Collaborate with analysts to ensure outputs align with strategic needs.
Required Skills (Technical & Soft Skills)
Technical Skills:
- Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas; VBA is a plus).
- Basic knowledge of Power Automate or workflow automation tools.
- Familiarity with Power BI for data modeling and visualization.
- Exposure to Bloomberg Terminal or Nasdaq platforms (optional).
Soft Skills:
- Analytical thinking to break down processes and identify optimization opportunities.
- Problem‑solving mindset, especially for automation challenges.
- Ability to explain technical solutions to non‑technical users.
