Job Summary

The Transport Operations Asset Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing the equipment utilized by Cemex Transport.   This will include assisting procurement with purchases, managing licenses and registrations, transferring vehicles between divisions and scrapping or selling old equipment.  There will also be scenarios that we will assist with tolls, liens, IFTA and other transportation related processes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an asset management system to ensure all Cemex Transport assets are entered and updated in all systems of record.
  • Ensure that all Cemex assets are registered and maintained with all legal entities in the regions that they are operational.
  • Assist the procurement team and Transport management in estimating, budgeting and recommending purchase or disposal of equipment as needed.
  • Work with the Transport Compliance team to ensure asset data is up to date in all associated systems.
  • Provide metrics and recommendations to the VP and General Managers of the Transport lines of business regarding asset management and utilization.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities to leverage technology to advance the organization and business objectives

Qualifications

  • High School diploma/GED or higher education required.
  • Prior experience with transportation or asset management a plus.
  • Experience with data analytics and reporting requirement for applications (Excel, Power BI or similar)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Transportation or logistics experience preferred
  • Experienced problem solver
  • Effective communicator
  • Ability to create standard operating procedures and protocols for software systems
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with end users
  • Organization skills required
  • Consult with department leaders and end users to identify opportunities
  • Collaborate internally and externally to resolve issues

Physical Requirements
