Job Summary

 

ABOUT THE PROGRAM 

We are seeking driven and talented recent graduates to join our Talent Development Program (TDP). This 12-month program is designed to provide you with hands-on experience and a comprehensive understanding of our operations. As a Talent Development Professional (TDP), you’ll rotate through various roles within our Cement Commercial division, gaining valuable insights and developing the skills needed to thrive in your career at Cemex USA. 

Job Responsibilities

 

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE

You’ll be immersed in key areas of our business. TDPs from all business units will experience project-based learning to collaborate and network with others by being introduced to the relationships between Cemex's business lines. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Safety Excellence: Safety is our #1 core value. You will be trained in our safety culture and expectations while promoting and adhering to safety standards across commercial activities, customer visits, terminals, plants, and operational environments.
  • Rotational Learning: Participate in a structured rotational program designed to provide exposure to the key areas of Cement Commercial operations, including Sales, Commercial Strategy, Customer Service, Marketing, Pricing, Supply Chain & Logistics, Demand Planning, Sustainability Solutions, Credit & Collections, and Operational Coordination.
  • Customer & Market Development: Gain a strong understanding of the cement business, customer segments, market dynamics, and competitive landscape. Support customer relationship management efforts, identify growth opportunities, and assist in delivering value-added solutions.
  • Business Analytics & Commercial Excellence: Develop analytical and problem-solving skills through the evaluation of sales performance, market trends, pricing strategies, and customer insights. Utilize data to support decision-making and recommend actions.
  • Skill Development: Build both technical and professional competencies through on-the-job experiences, formal training, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration. Strengthen leadership, communication, negotiation, project management, and strategic thinking skills while assuming increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Networking & Collaboration: Establish a broad network across the organization by partnering with colleagues from Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources, and other business functions.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Contribute fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to improve commercial processes, customer experience, and business results. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Leadership Development: Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and a growth mindset while participating in development activities designed to prepare you for future leadership opportunities.

Qualifications

 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking motivated graduates who are eager to embrace new challenges and grow with Cemex. Ideal candidates will have:

  • Educational Foundation: A recent bachelor’s degree in Business Admin/Business Management, Sales Management, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management or related field (open to more degrees).
  • Academic Performance: A GPA of 2.5 or above, with a preference for those with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Leadership Potential: Leadership qualities and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
  • Communication Skills: Proficiency in analytical and presentation skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Previous experience from individuals who share our passion for the industry and have gained valuable insights through internships, co-op programs, or university projects.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to relocate within the U.S. if needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work Schedule: This is a full-time program with potential travel based on rotation requirements.
  • Environment: Expect a mix of office work and fieldwork, where you’ll be exposed to varying environmental conditions, including outdoor settings.
