Job Summary
The primary responsibility is to support outside sales staff by assisting customers on site with project planning, product selection and problem solving. This position is a liaison between the customer, sales, and production.
Job Responsibilities
- Attends and actively participates in pre-construction meetings with our customers, sales, operations management, and QC to ensure appropriate mix and performance.
- Participates with large jobs to insure quality delivery and placement.
- Effectively addresses customer concerns/complaints
- Maintains records and writes reports regarding jobsite issues, driver performance, and product problems.
- Trains with sales, QC, and operation personnel to become knowledgeable regarding technical updates and industry standards.
- Participates in routine employee communications meetings.
- Notifies the sales of anything pertinent regarding the business.
- Communicates frequently with the sales, QC, and customer service personnel to coordinate the overall effort.
- Establishes consulting relationships with customers while effectively represent the company’s best interest.
- Maintains environmental, housekeeping safety, and business conduct to comply with company standards and government regulations.
- Manage time effectively to schedule and prioritize assignments.
- Works in an unstructured environment.
- Make administrative improvement recommendations.
- Assist with market and pricing studies.
- Responsible for special projects and requests as needed.
- Able to work overtime and shifts as needed.
- Perform as work as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a related area (sales, marketing, communications, social sciences) or two to three years of related experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient in business systems (excel, word, lotus notes, etc.)
- Possess analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Must be detail oriented and accurate with an ability to handle large volumes of data entry.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to employees and others.
- Maintain confidentiality in daily operations.
- Perform duties in a professional manner.
- Flexible to travel overnight and to work all hours required including nights and weekends.
- Interested in relocating in the future for upward mobility.
Working Conditions
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment
- Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors
- Must wear protective equipment while at the location
Physical Requirements
- Requires stationary position, traverse, move, transport, and the ability to significant degree to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, or position
- Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors
