Participate in execution of R&D initiatives aligned with the company priorities and strategy, based on internal and external guidelines, and lead the product technical development and implementation to support worldwide cements operation, to have the latest technology and increase profitability of CEMEX worldwide.

Principales responsabilidades

Participate in execution of the R&D cement initiatives, supporting the company global priorities and strategy in all core businesses.

Technical product development and implementation to provide our cement operations with latest technologies and solutions.

Support the R&D and product development.

Participate in the business case analysis of any expansion project of the CX Cement Business to provide specialized technical support.

Continuous evaluation of new/alternative raw materials to improve products and ensure CEMEX’s competitive advantage.

Collaborations with external chemical suppliers to identify or co-develop, and secure, new raw materials.

Benchmarks of chemical cements and raw to monitor competition and new technologies.

Participate in internal and external committees to ensure and determine the evolution of norms and standards in the cement business.

Technical evaluation/validation of raw material and cements.

1.   Development of products and propose as well as develop innovations to keep pace or more competitive than rivals in the industry.

2.   Execute, evolve, and ensure the CEMEX cement strategic development.

Habilidades y conocimientos requeridos

Technical high school diploma or bachelor’s degree in Science / Engineering; Preferably in chemistry or chemical engineering.

2-4 years’ experience in cement industry; raw materials sourcing / cement formulation / product development / polymer synthesis / production and QCA

Previous experience in Technical Support; preferably experience in laboratory position.
